Like many other professional glass artists, Bev first began with stained glass as a hobbiest, after taking a beginner course in stained glass. After the first nite of the course she knew that this was the hobby for her and over the years her love of the craft grew and she eventually knew that she had to take this craft further. In 1987, the opportunity arose and she opened "The Stained Glass Studio" in Nanaimo, B.C., centrally located on Vancouver Island.

After many years of teaching classes and creating designs for windows and lamps, it was time to share those designs with others, so in 2000, the first "Shades of Glass Designs" books was published by Bev. She has since retired from the retail part of the industry, but continues to create many beautiful pieces of art.
